Raging Fyah is a self-contained roots reggae band of the reggae revival, formed by students of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston. They began as a backing band for other artists, and the training at Edna Manley meant they read music; since then they have written and produced their own material.
The five-piece came together at the college in 2006, and the bassist Delroy "Pele" Hamilton, the keyboard player Demar Gayle and the drummer Anthony Watson remain at its core. Kumar Bent, another graduate of the college, joined as lead singer in 2010. Their first album, Judgement Day, came out in 2011 and Destiny in 2014. The band signed to VP Records in 2016, and its third album, Everlasting, with guests including Jesse Royal and Busy Signal, was nominated for the Grammy for best reggae album.
Bent left in July 2018 for a solo career, and Odean "Journey" Ricketts, runner-up in that year's Digicel Rising Stars, took his place.
